Halloween is here and gone

I didn't get a chance to upload these pics things have been so busy. I didn't even get to take a pic of my Thanksgiving decorations(that's ok it was very minimal as I only had a few things, it will be better next year!) Well even though I was thoroughly impressed with my decorations this year, next year I will have a much better display. It takes time when you buy a little more each year.

I was so proud of my babies this year both the older ones actually went trick or treating this year and brought home a fair amount of candy! I love Halloween so much I just love to decorate and get all dressed up! I think maybe the family does to! When I first did Isabella's hair and make up she ran to the mirror and scared herself. She cried for a few minutes but got over it when the trick or treaters started coming.

I think Lenora loved it the most. She even posed for the camera. I was so lucky with her costume it only cost $1 I couldn't believe it!

Even the baby got in on the action. She didn't mind being outside in the cold but she did seem to mind when we tried to give the candy away ;P

Long time No time!!

It has been a while since I last wrote on here, but boy has it been hectic. I visited my mother for 2 weeks and now the Holidays are upon us. Holidays for most people are busy anyway but with three little ones it seems like there is never enough time.

school

Pure and simple I agree with a longer school year and shorter vacations. Retaining knoledge over a long vacation is harder than over a shorter vacation. I DON'T AGREE with longer HOURS. My daughters aren't in school yet but when they do go, if the school day goes past 3 pm I will pull them out EVERY DAY! 8 hr days works for adults who have to work but I did not have kids so they could be raised in school! Schooling and learning are a top priority for me but I will not allow my children to spend more hours in school than at home. I want to ENJOY my children not WATCH them grow up IN PHOTOS from SCHOOL!!! 5 pm is time for DINNER not time for getting OUT of SCHOOL and then HOMEWORK on top of that! Just my opinion.

HALLOWEEN

It's almost here-well in two months anyway. Some people in my town have already started to put up their decorations I think I might start too. My husband says wait but I am sooooo inpatient. The only thing left to get for this year is a fog machine and a couple more strobe black lights and maybe a skeleton or two!

HOLIDAYS!

They are coming and I can't wait! I am all ready so I can start to decorate for this Halloween and Thanksgiving. I don't have a ton of stuff but I have a few more things this year than I did last year. I have a ghost that will actually look good and a few mini strobe lights that plays the eerie music. Hopefully I can get a fogger and maybe some bones that light up. For Thanksgiving I got a scarecrow at a yard sale for a buck!!! I also have a few other ornaments for Thanksgiving this year-I had none last year. So EXCITED!!!!! I SO CAN'T WAIT!!!! I love DECO-RATING!! I have a couple of ideas to use some of my Hosta scapes and daylilly stems. It's almost here just 1 month 9 days and 12 hrs until I can start to decorate!!!!! See even my baby can't wait!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Holidays! You know what's even better than the Holidays? DECORATING for the Holidays!!LOL

Childrern repeat the darndest things!

My sweet little two year old, she is adorable! The other day she kept reapeating "sippy, sippy, sippy" like she was looking for her sippy. So I asked her "Are you looking for your sippy?" She said "NO SIPPY!" so I said "Do you want something to eat?" she said "NO EAT!" so my husband being the smartass he is muttered under his breath "Do you want Vodka?" she aparently heard him because she immediately said "NO VODKA!" Not cool but oh so funny!

My Front Door

Oh my gosh I finally have a new front door! I have been waiting almost two years for it! I finally ordered it from Lowes a couple of weeks ago and it was going to be delivered next week. It came in last Friday and was supposed to be shipped next week but we were busy next week so I asked if they could deliver it sooner. We ended up getting it yesterday afternoon(there is a reason why we like Lowes). The best part is my husband ALREADY put it in! I can't believe it! He said he was going to do it on Friday but ended up doing it last night. What a good husband I have.

My Gardens

Well my gardens are coming along quite well I think. Some went from bare grass to nice sized gardens. I can't wait until next spring to see what survived and how big the flowers will all be. I love my gardens they are already looking better than when I first put them in. The mulch is going to be awhile though. Just on our front bed alone it took 14 bags and our side garden is at least twice the size. In all we are going to have 6 gardens and that isn't counting my back Hosta garden. I can't wait to take pictures. I have befores I just have to get the afters the problem is the time!

Our Name GRANITE VIEW FARM

(this picture was taken at my in-law's house)--->
Ok so we haven't really been a farm in a long time and the only view of granite is in our basement! Well we had the name when we did have a view and a farm, but we like the name and someday we will be a farm again.

Right now we live in town and we are trying to get back on track. It will take us awhile to get where we want but we sort of have a plan. For right now we are fixing up our house and just getting comfortable. We both love the town we live in and neither of us really want to leave. Which is a slight dilemma-our yard isn't even big enough for chickens! Our best idea so far is staying in town and buying a small piece of land just outside of town and keeping the animals there. BAD idea- we tried that before and it didn't work out well, but of course that was when we were a bit more irresponsible and didn't have three children. Maybe down the road when our kids get bigger and older they might want to help out and it might turn out to be not such a bad idea.
In the mean time we'll just stick to boarding our horses and deal with a tiny yard.
